PlankEye, Hero & the Iraq War

Several interesting memes just came together.
On Centroids were discussing the concept of “love your enemies” in the context of the Jet Li
movie Hero, which I’d learned about from a semi-transformational blog I sporadically track.
Then, while responding to a diatribe about the Iraq war on radical-middle, I realized that it was the
same issue: people were so focused on the specks in their opponents’ eyes
rather than the logs in their
own.

If you [the Left]
could fix your speck you just might be able to help Bush remove his
log.
Just like if Bush
understood his own dysfunctional self-righteousness
he might actually figure out
how to cure Muslim radicals.
Loving
our enemies is not just how we destroy our enemies, but how we save ourselves
(from their fate).
