Policy Advisors
( Innovation: There should be a group of Policy Advisors  who
are charged with the responsibility of being Autonomous  Critics 
-in a constructive sense- of official policies. Each  should be,  in effect,
a "gadfly" of Administration deliberations,  so   that  contrary  opinions
are given   full weight,  so  that nothing  important in decision making  is 
left out and the pitfalls of  "groupthink" and   "ideological  amplification"
do  not  take  place  in    the  White House ..  Each  should work on a 
contractual basis to serve for the duration of the  Administration so that
inner   disputes   do  not   become  public  knowledge  until   after    the 
president's  term  ( or terms)  has been  served,. with the provision that
the president may request a Policy Advisor to  leave or  may  accept a
resignation  as long  as  the person   involved  agrees  not to  make  any
White House deliberations  public knowledge while the  president is still 
serving .  The   Policy Advisors  selected  here  include  people  from all 
major political persuasions, Left and Right, and represent a  cross section
of the United States in other ways ).
