[RC] The Meaning of Life and Sex

Now for something completely different...

After pondering our discussion of happiness and feminism a while back, 
I decide to compile several related sayings into an "Apothegmary" about 
the meaning of life, i.e. Happiness.   Again, this is not intended to 
be comprehensive, but I am trying to capture some foundational truths 
in apothegm form to use as the basis of further exploration.

As always, comments, suggestions, and reactions are more than welcome.  
In particular, I wonder if any of the feminists among us could suggest 
a parallel apothegm for femininity -- assuming anyone even hopes to 
understand such a thing!

The Apothegmary* of Happiness

Happinesss:
	The happiest people in the world
		are those who can enjoy doing good for those they love
			and are appreciated for it

Risk:
	The more people loved, the greater the risk

Maximization:
	The more people loved successfully, the greater the happiness

Love:
	Love is a state of positive idealization
		engaging emotions & intentions
			for pursuit of perceived good
				in the beloved

Hate:
	Hate is a state of negative idealization
		engaging emotions & intentions
			for destruction of perceived evil
				in the detested

Maturity:
	Mature love sees both good and evil
		and pursues the former while destroying the latter
			in the same person at the same time

Pleasure:
	Pleasure is to happiness as sugar is to food.
	Sex is to love like pleasure is to happiness.

Sex:
	Sex is a metaphor for all of life, though it often seems the reverse.

Masculinity:
	All men fight.
	Strong men fight and win.
	Real men fight evil and win love.

*An apothegmary is a collection of apothegms, or organized proverbs.
