Radical Middle Psychology



Hat tip to Yellow Line. Mark Satin recently posted another of his comprehensive analyses of radical middle trends, this time about psychology:
Like radical middle politics, radical middle psychology is pragmatic and ethical and conducive to personal growth. It is tailor-made for those of us who are committed to being fully present for each other while doing great things in this world.

This reminded me a great deal of my story, "The Marriage of Truth and Love", which led me to summarize his article this way:
• Conservative psychology preaches truth but denies love
• Liberal psychology preaches love but denies truth
• Radical middle psychology preaches loving truth, and truthful loving, and denies we must -- or even can -- choose between them

An oversimplification, perhaps, but I hope a useful one.
