Maria Shriver on political change

In today's Sacramento bee, Maria tosses out four bits of political wisdom given her by an unnamed panjandrum:

1. Always make sure the "idea" is bigger than you.

2. Don't get stuck on making a point. Always look for the solution.

3. Seek to help and educate as many people as possible.

4. If you don't care who gets the credit, you can accomplish a great deal.

It was in an article about the California State History Museum, but is surely applicable to much more.
